Sarah Ayoub is a freelance journalist, speaker, copywriter and researcher based in Sydney, Australia. Her work has appeared in various print and online publications including Sunday Magazine (The Sunday Telegraph), ABC Unleashed, The Punch, Shop Til You Drop, Cleo, Yen, Girlfriend and more.

She has also featured on national television, radio and forum panels in a speaking capacity, and is currently the co-publisher behind online magazine Trespass, and the editor behind writing blog Wordsmith Lane.

Sarah is also engaged in a postgraduate research position at the University of Sydney, where she is writing a thesis on Australian media and film, and the glamorisation of gang-culture among Sydney’s Middle-Eastern community.

A self-confessed nerd, goody two-shoes and perfectionist, Sarah decided that she’d like to pursue a career in journalism at the age of ten after realising that, like Lois Lane and Vicky Vale, it was always the reporter that got the superhero. She loves pop culture, modern history and the glamour of by-gone eras, and loathes the clutter that her writer’s mess constantly surrounds her with. Sarah also has an ‘unhealthy’ obsession with cake, magazines and handbags, and welcomes a cure of any sort to her substance abuse problem.
